So I have been CRAZY lately – work, kids, travel, work, kids, a student… How many times do we feel like this? Isn’t summer supposed to be relaxing? Well, yes. As a matter of fact it can (and should) be! This is why so many of us take vacations this time of year. It’s a time to enjoy the beautiful weather and create meaningful experiences for our children. Some of my most loved memories are of the summer. With a little preparation you can make that happen for your family too! (Emphasis on little preparation – I’m a realist)
Attached to this post is a fantastic newsletter from the Division of Speech-Language Pathology here at CCHMC. Inside are great tips for engaging young children in play and speech, using summer activities to work on language and literacy… and much more. Starting this week the newsletter is available in hard copy for those of you who regularly follow my blog and are also patients. Please remind me and I’ll get it for you.
